In Vietnam, We Heard the Rising Tide of Warehouse Logistics Transformation

2026-08-10

The three-day Vietnam International Logistics Expo (VILOG 2026) has come to a close. Over 450 companies, more than 550 booths, and industry peers from 22 countries and regions – behind these numbers lies the real, palpable heat of Vietnam’s logistics market.

Back at Booth F123, as I reflect on the conversations we had over these three days with customers and local integrators, there are some insights worth putting into words.

I. Vietnam’s Pace Exceeds All Expectations

Walking into the SECC Exhibition Center, you can truly feel the pulse of this market. Vietnam’s logistics industry is growing at 14–16% annually – nearly twice the global average. With manufacturing upgrading, e?commerce booming, and cross?border trade expanding, these three forces together are pushing warehousing and logistics demand rapidly from “existence” to “excellence.”

A Chinese integrator told me: “Three years ago, clients asked, ‘Can you do it?’ Now they ask, ‘Can you do it smarter and more cost?effectively?’” That remark stuck with me – Vietnam is crossing the threshold from basic functionality to true quality.

II. Deep Conversations Are Where Trust Begins

What we valued most at this exhibition was not the foot traffic at our booth, but those moments when we sat down for in?depth discussions. Warehouse managers from manufacturing companies came with floor plans, sketching out their current pain points point by point: insufficient space utilisation, stagnant picking efficiency, peak?season overload and off?season idleness. Technical leads from logistics integrators, on the other hand, focused more on system openness and scalability – can it integrate with their existing ERP? Is future expansion flexible? Are data interfaces standardised?

These conversations lacked fancy rhetoric, but they cut straight to the core of the problems. Upgrading warehouse logistics is never as simple as buying a few machines or installing a few software suites – it is a systematic undertaking involving process re?engineering, organisational capability, and strategic vision.

A remark from a local Vietnamese integrator has stayed with me: “What we need most is not the most advanced technology, but the most suitable one – technology that can be implemented, deliver real benefits, and grow alongside us.” This reminds us: if technology does not create tangible value for customers, no matter how flashy it is, it remains a castle in the air.

III. A Philosophical Reflection: True Long?Termism Means Listening to the Ground Beneath You

Some say that entering overseas markets requires “doing as the locals do.” But after three days of exchanges, I feel that what matters more than adapting to local customs is understanding the voice of the land itself.

Vietnam’s logistics market has its own distinct characteristics – rising land costs, tightening warehouse space, and increasing labour expenses. At the same time, government push for logistics modernisation is stronger than ever. These are not cold statistics in a report; they are the real?world challenges that every customer and every integrator faces daily. True long?termism is not about imposing your products on the market, but about bending down, listening to the market’s genuine needs, and then responding with professional competence.

At Booth F123, we showcased automated storage systems, intelligent sorting equipment, supply chain management software, and applications of AI and IoT in logistics operations. But more important than showcasing was listening – listening to our clients’ hunger for efficiency, their drive for cost control, and their anxieties and hopes for the future.

IV. A Final Note

The exhibition is over, but the real partnerships are just beginning.

Those in?depth conversations with customers and integrators, the business cards exchanged, and the follow?ups we have agreed upon – these are the most valuable takeaways from our trip to Vietnam. The essence of business is never a one?off transaction, but an ongoing process of building trust together.

Vietnam’s logistics industry is at a critical turning point – moving from traditional to intelligent. As a provider of smart warehousing solutions, EFX Easysort is privileged to be part of this journey. We believe that the best partnership is not “I sell, you buy,” but “we grow together.”

Making warehousing and logistics fly – this is not just a slogan; it is our commitment to every customer. VILOG 2026, farewell.

 Vietnam, we will be back.
